Are you the bride to be? A bachelorette party is much different than the traditional wedding shower. The best man has always thrown the groom a bachelor party. Now, it’s the woman’s turn. For the bride, it will be the last time to get together with your closest girlfriends for one of your last moments as a single woman. The party can be simple and tame, or as wild as you desire.
The first thing that comes to mind is a group of girlfriends dragging the future bride from bar to bar. The girls want to give the bride that ultimate night to remember. In conclusion, the night ends with a ruggedly handsome male stripper dancing in front of the future bride. The bride is glued to her chair, absolutely frozen from embarrassment, Sorry to say, that scenario typically only happens in movies.
A classic bachelorette party consists of the bride to be, maid of honor, the bridal party, and other close female family and friends. This all-girl group gets together possibly having a few or more drinks while entertaining themselves. Of course, the entertainment could be a male stripper. However, there are bachelorette party games which can be purchased in a store or bought online, although, it is more fun to create the games yourself, making them more personal and guaranteeing the bride and her guests a night to remember. Here are a few free and fun bachelorette party games.
1. Build a book
This isn’t necessarily a game, but it is a really sweet creative way for close female friends to show their love and how much they care about the future bride. Give yourself enough time before the party to do this. You will want to present this group gift to the bride to be at her bachelorette party.
Purchase a scrapbook and make sure the book contains removable pages. Have each girlfriend take one page. Decorate the page with pictures and mementos of you and the bride. You can write quotes and short stories. It’s your page, front and back, to show the future bride how much she means to you, and all of the fond memories and the fun you have shared.
When each woman is done with her page of the book, put the scrapbook back together and give it to her as a gift from all of you at her bachelorette party.
2. The married couple quiz
Get together with the future groom before the bachelorette party. Ask him a list of questions about his fiancée and about their relationship. Include personal questions such as the craziest place they have ever had sex, or her favorite sexual position. Write down what his favorite sexual position is. Or ask how many times he has performed oral sex on her. Make it count, it won’t embarrass her or him especially because he won’t be present at the party.
Now, fast forward to the bachelorette party. Ask her the same questions but, have her guess what his answers were. When she answers wrong, she has to drink. When she gets the answer right, the other girls have to drink. This game gets personal but, when you are with your best friends and alcohol is involved, what does it matter?
3. Ex-charades
A fun game to play and reminisce about former loves, former flames, and those unforgettable one-night stands. Plus, this game proves just how close the bachelorette and her friends are.
Have the girls divide into two teams. Next, have each girl take turns acting as former boyfriends or one-night stand. Guess which man or woman your girlfriend is acting like. The team with the highest amount of correct guesses wins. You decide what the prize is. A hilarious good time, especially when alcohol is involved.
4. The non-traditional treasure hunt
This game is also known as the sexy treasure hunt. To set up for this game, hide items throughout the house, the yard, wherever, depending on the location of the bachelorette party.
The items should be anything from crotch-less panties, dildos, fuzzy handcuffs, a tube of special lube. Do you catch my drift?
Depending on the relationship between some of the women, this game might not be appropriate for all. You might not want to play this game if your future mother in law is present. It just depends on the individual.
Now, the guests divide into multiple teams. The teams that find the most items wins. Once again, the winning teams’ prize is up to the actual party goers. You can make the game a little harder by stating a phrase or question instead of just giving a list of items. For example, for crotch-less panties, on the list have it say something like sexy undergarment with easy access. This will make the game a bit more risqué.
5. A display of lingerie
Here is another game where plenty of alcohol is involved. Each lady that attends the bachelorette party should buy a piece of lingerie as a gift for the future bride. It can be a bra, a silk gown, sexy panties, a teddy, costume lingerie, the choice is yours, but the lingerie has to describe the personality of the woman who brought it.
For example, let’s say Sherry is a freak in the sheets, loves domination, and you all know it. Sherry brings a leather teddy with a matching whip. Megan is mild and timid; she brought a sweet little nightgown with flowers on it, nothing sexy about the thing. Amber is a correctional officer at a prison, she brings a sexy cop uniform with gun holster and fuzzy handcuffs. Each girl does something different to describe themselves.
Now, before the party, and without the future bride witnessing this going on. Hang all the articles of lingerie around a room. When the game begins, the girl group enters the room where the lingerie is on display. The bride to be must go around the room guessing who brought which piece of lingerie. For each correct match, the girl whose lingerie it was, has to drink how much the future bride says. If the bride to be is wrong on her guess, whomever the lingerie was brought by gets to decide how much the bride to be must drink. When it comes down to it, all this is about is how well you know your best lady friends.
Don’t forget that all lingerie should be brand new and bought in the bride’s size. The bride gets to keep it all.
6. Toilet paper gown
We all know that a typical bachelorette party contains 3 major things. Sex, alcohol, and penis but, what if you do not want any of that? You are a tad more conservative, you want a nice relaxing party, full of enjoyment, and none of that other stuff. Your closest friends and family will be there. Your new mother in law, your grandma, and young children will all be at your party. This game is fun and everyone can get involved. The young kids will love it; your grandma will not stop laughing.
Divide into at least two teams. Pick one person from each team to be the model. Now, the rest of the team members wrap her in toilet paper, designing a wedding gown. When finished, the future bride gets to choose which dress she likes the best. Just a creative, cute way to involve everybody, no matter what their age may be.
7. I have never, ever
This is a classic drinking game for a bachelorette party, the perfect game to get the bachelorette’s last hurrah started. Each girl gets to complete the sentence, “I have never…” Whichever girl has actually done it must take a drink. In addition, this is a fun ice breaker for girls at your bridal party who do not know each other.
For example, Amy says, “I have never had sex in a public park.” Susy hasn’t either. Neither has Bri. Sara starts giggling as she takes a sip of her alcoholic drink. Everyone starts laughing, knowing that Sara has had sex in a public park.
You then move on to the next girl. It’s now her turn to say what she has never done. Keep going around the room until it’s time to move on to the next party game. Have a good time getting to know one another. Don’t get smashed. Savor the moment as there will be a lot more drinking to come.
8. Who am I?
Another drinking game, this one is just plain and simple fun. You give each girl a post-it note. Have her write down the name of a celebrity on the post-it note. Put all the notes in bowl or basket and mix them up. Have one of the girls pick out a post-it note, and without looking at what is written on it, stick it to her forehead. She will be the first contestant. She then has 20 “yes” or “no” questions she can ask to help her guess the name of the celebrity that is posted on her forehead.
For example, Lily is the contestant. She has a post-it note on her head of a celebrity—let’s say, Rihanna. She gets 20 questions to give her final guess. She can guess throughout the questioning if she believes she knows the answer. So, she starts. “Am I a female?” The rest of the girls, who are able to see the post-it note, answer yes. Lily asks more questions. “Am I an actress?” “Am I under 30?” “Am I a singer?” “Have I had a recent hit song?” Do you get the gist? She keeps going until the 20 questions are up. Anytime she makes a guess at the name of the celebrity and is wrong, she has to drink. When Lily’s turn is up, she then picks the next contestant.
If you want to add a little more fun, every time the contestant correctly guesses the celebrity, make the bachelorette drink. It will be up to each girl who correctly answers, on how much the bachelorette has to drink.
9. The memory game
Another post-it note game. Each girl at the bachelorette party gets a post-it note. On the note, they write down a quick and simple phrase about a moment or story that has to do with them and the future bride. It can be funny, embarrassing, a drunken moment, maybe it was just a Kodak moment, it can be anything that has to do with you and the bride. When done, all the girls stick the post it notes to a wall or put them on a table. The bride starts with one; after reading it she has to tell who wrote it and then she must explain the entire story. She will do this one by one until they are all done.
This is a fun game that recollects on past times and unforgettable moments. As an added bonus, the girls can have a book already made up so when done, the future bride can put all of the post-it notes in the book as a keepsake.
10. Daredevil
This is the perfect bachelorette party game if the girls are going out to celebrate. It doesn’t matter if you are all going to one bar, or bar hopping through the entire city. You could even just decide to have a relaxing day being pampered at a spa. The whole point is to be in another location, around other people.
Before you get to your destination, start with the bride and give her a task she must complete, make sure she has a time limit. If all of the girls are drinking and you give her the whole night to complete the task, you might not even remember what it was if you all get hammered.
For example, let’s say you all are going to a bar. Do something simple to start out until everyone gets the hang of it. So, you all decide the bachelorette has 10 minutes to get a guy to buy her a drink. If she completes the simple task, all the other girls must drink. If she fails, she must drink. Once done, she picks the next girl, gives her a task and a time limit. The game goes on and on. Each girl picking the next girl and what she will do.
This game can pretty down and dirty depending on what tasks the girls are assigned to complete and how long they have to do it. In addition, you can make it even more fun by doing this: If a girl is assigned a task that she either does not want to attempt or if she does not think she has any chance of completing it in time, she can say that she can’t do it. Although, if she does that, she has to chug her entire drink. Doing that will get you wasted rather quickly.
DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE! Please remember throughout this celebration, to be safe and responsible. When alcohol is involved, make sure all party members are on the same page. If the bachelorette party is at a friend’s house, it might be best to make it a slumber party and have everyone spend the night. If you girls are going out for a night on the town, have a designated driver.
Above all, this is one of the bachelorette’s last moments as a single woman. Don’t get out of control but, let loose and have fun. Make this a night to remember. Celebrate the fact that you are getting married. Congratulations!
